We simply have to perform the tasks assigned to us with the military forces assigned to us, plus possible reinforcements, while taking care of the appropriate supply of our troops (by delivering our own trucks or taking over enemy trains), nothing more. It is not about the difficulty level of the game itself, which is quite balanced, allowing you to demonstrate your own tactical artistry, and at the same time, as for RTS, the gameplay is not too complicated. Unfortunately, when we start the game, you can see that it will not be easy. Additionally, there are challenges to be unlocked and competition over the Net. The choice has a significant impact on the course of battles, because each commander gives access to individual, different bonuses. In addition, we play the role of famous generals again, with a few new ones, such as the British general Bernard Montgomery. Interestingly, we also got the Polish thread, but very little exposed. Although it is still mostly classic, such as the Normandy Landing, Operation Market Garden, the Battle of the Kursk, or the fight for Moscow, this repetition is even pleasing after so many years of absence. We get three different campaigns: German, Allied and Soviet, with twenty extensive missions, thanks to which we will take part in the most important European clashes. After years of oblivion, it was decided to resume this cycle also on consoles, but in the end with not very successful results.Įverything looks fine at first glance.

Sometimes, however, the promises do not exactly match the result of the work.Ī series set in the realities of World War II Sudden Strike debuted in 2000 on PCs, and although it didn’t stand out in the sheer volume of related titles, it was a pretty good RTS piece with a lot of popularity. The creators promised a sentimental return to the youth of many of today’s players, when we could choose from similar productions as in poultry.
